Keep an Eye Out!

It is our goal to make use of all means and resources available to improve and protect our great natural resource: the mighty old St. Joe (Sagwa Sibi - Native American). If you witness an obvious pollution event happening on the St. Joseph River or any of her tributaries, please call (in Michigan) the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality's Pollution Emergency Alerting System at 1-800-292-4706 or (in Indiana) the 24-Hour Spill Reporting Hotline at 1-888-233-7745. Thanks!

River sign

This sign is located at the first bridge over the St Joe at the outlet of Baw Beese lake in Hillsdale, Michigan. It was handmade with great love by Dorla Null, the very first woman to paddle the entire length of the river solo.

Mission Statement

Unite a diverse group of stakeholders throughout the watershed in a collaborative effort to protect, restore, and foster stewardship of the St. Joseph River Watershed as a critical component of the Great Lakes Basin.
