38th Annual Jonesville Riverfest (18 May 2012)

Riverfest is a non-profit event organized by fewer than 10 committee members, with planning starting as early as October each year. River clean-up starts in April and finishes the week before the races. The event is funded solely by donations from businesses located throughout Hillsdale County. During the weekend over 100 volunteers are needed to make the event run well.Any organization that needs a project throughout the year can also get involved by contacting the Riverfest Committee.

Get on the bus and join the Clean Water Tour!

Hosted by the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission, Van Buren County Road Commission and the Van Buren Conservation District.

Cost is $5.00 (includes dinner, bus and program materials).The tour will depart and return to Covert Township Hall at 73943 E. Lake Street,Covert (off of M-140 between Watervliet and South Haven).

Join the Branch County Conservation District and Prairie River Watershed project for a workshop on the role that native plants can play in improving and providing better water quality. There will be a native plant discussion by Verne Stephens from "Designs by Nature", as well as a native plant sale.
